This sample will find its way from Antarctica to DENVER, COLORADO!The Snow and Ice Core Data Center and the National Ice Core Lab where scientists from our very own INSTAAR will study its composition and date the ice. They will measure and record temperature variations and atmospheric concentrations of CO2, methane and other greenhouse gases back to 420,000 years!
We were treated to a TASTE of this Glacier our first week in camp ....fresh water -- no treatment needed here!
